Terms of use

PubCalc is operated by Vincent Palmer trading as PubCalc, 7 Morlais, Pensarn, Conwy LL22 7SE. Contact: hello@pubcalc.co.uk.

These terms apply to the free PubCalc website and calculators. The service is intended for hospitality business users. By using it, you agree to these terms.

What the calculators do

The calculators perform arithmetic using the figures and assumptions you enter. They do not verify those figures or decide whether a price is commercially, legally or competitively appropriate. Results are estimates unless every relevant cost and assumption is accurate.

No professional advice

Results are not accounting, tax, legal, licensing or financial advice. VAT treatment can vary with the product and circumstances. Obtain qualified advice where the treatment is uncertain or the decision is material.

Your responsibility

Before acting on a result, check the supplier invoice basis, pack size, serving measure, recipe yield, VAT status and any waste assumption. Product gross profit is not the same as net profit and excludes overheads unless they are explicitly included in the cost. You remain responsible for business decisions made using the service.

Availability and changes

PubCalc may correct, change, suspend or withdraw any part of the free service. It does not promise uninterrupted availability or that a saved link will reproduce an earlier version.

Intellectual property

The PubCalc name, branding, website design, software and original site content belong to the operator or its licensors. You may use and retain calculator results for your own business purposes. You may not copy, scrape, repackage or resell a substantial part of the website or present PubCalc content as your own.

Liability

Reasonable care is taken when publishing and testing the calculators. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PubCalc is not liable for business losses arising from incorrect inputs, inappropriate assumptions, service unavailability or reliance on a result without suitable checking, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Links to other websites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. PubCalc is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Separate subscription terms will be introduced before any paid service launches.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions can be sent to hello@pubcalc.co.uk.
